Supported by DRISHTI CPS under the Seed Support Scheme, Kayasthya Digital Technical Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is working in the agritech sector with its innovative satellite-based software and mobile app, MoCult 1.0. This platform addresses a critical issue in agriculture: the lack of affordable and accessible crop monitoring solutions. According to data from the National Crop Forecast Centre, 12.8% of crops suffer damage each year due to poor monitoring. Traditional hardware-based technologies available in the market to monitor different aspects of crops typically cost between INR 70,000 to INR 90,000, making them unaffordable for marginal farmers. MoCult 1.0 eliminates these hardware costs, democratizing access to advanced crop monitoring technology.
MoCult 1.0 uses advanced image processing technologies to provide smart and quality agriculture monitoring solutions. By processing satellite imagery from multiple sources including OCO, Sentinel 2, Sentinel 5, and Landsat 2, the AI model generates comprehensive reports detailing various agricultural parameters. These reports offer crucial insights for crop management, serving as an essential tool for farmers striving to understand, track, and improve their crop health and yield. The platform provides an array of features, including soil health indication, irrigation scheduling, soil moisture assessment, land degradation assessment, and CO2 emission monitoring. By providing these insights, MoCult 1.0 not only improves crop monitoring and reduces losses but also addresses the critical need for effective water management in agriculture.
With DRISHTI CPS’ support in funding, stakeholder connections, and business and technical mentoring from industry experts, Kayasthya has positioned itself for growth and impact in the agricultural sector. This collaboration not only accelerates the development and adoption of MoCult 1.0 but also advances our shared goal of enhancing agricultural efficiency and sustainability.
